Pilot project for the projection of the 'green' concept to reduce energy, on selected entities of the Greek Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs, Culture and Sports

The Directorate of Telematics and Applications for Regional Development in collaboration with Research Unit 1 of CTI within the project "Support for the Ministry of Education in Information Systems", implemented a pilot project for the projection of the 'green' concept to reduce energy, on selected of its buildings, over the results of which will be based additional necessary actions, which are intended to cover all building infrastructure.

The project has a duration of 12 months, and focus on five school buildings, as well as on CTI premises in Patras and Athens.

In these buildings, the project foreseed the installation of appropriate sensor network measuring consumed energy and remote control of energy-intensive appliances. Based on this infrastructure the following tasks were implemented in parallel:

• Information system remote management
• Portal presentation of measurements.
• Applications over mobile devices
• Apply statistical analysis and targeted reports to the competent services of the Ministry
