SUMMARY
The company (www.afoimpisiritsa.gr), ocated in Serbia, Kozani, which has a modern pig farm, a processing and standardization unit of final products and a biogas unit for waste utilization, in collaboration with the (www.cti.gr ) located in Patra, participate in the implementation of the new project entitled “Development of a modern system of advanced traceability of Kozani meat, to improve productive performance, quality and hygiene using intelligent information systems (KO -MEAT IT)” in the framework of the Operational Program of Western Macedonia 2014-2020. The project is co-financed by the European Union - European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and National Resources. The project has a duration of 24 months with a total budget of € 360,764.35.
Responsible for the project on behalf of the company is Mr. George Bisiritsas, co-owner and CEO while on behalf of Computer Technology Institute and Press “Diophantus” is Professor Chrysostomos Stylios.
OBJECTIVES
The aim of the project is to design, develop and install an integrated information system with extended traceability, utilizing innovative information systems, design techniques and algorithms and computational intelligence methodologies, with the ultimate goal of monitoring the production process of meat products through the collaboration of experienced and technically trained staff, from distinct stages in the value chain to consumption. The standardization of the products will follow modern and environmentally friendly techniques.
