Activities

Τhe main Activities of the Department are:

Design and Implementation of regional development and interregional cooperation actions within the framework of Community or national programs and initiatives.

• Activation in Regional Development Programs. The Directorate participates in projects (related to its activities and objectives) in Programs such as: Interreg LifeLong Learning / Erasmus+, Horizon
• Cooperation with bodies of the Regions it covers, in order to support their participation in Programs such as INTERREG.
• Strengthening the already established cooperation with the competent services of the EU on Regional Development and Innovation, as well as with other bodies in Greece and Europe that have significant experience and activity in matters of innovation.

Providing advanced telematics research applications.

• Undertaking projects for the adaptation, in the private and public sector of the wider Western Greece, of advanced Telematics research solutions.
• Cooperation with other Directorates of CTI "DIOPHANTUS" in matters of innovative ICT applications.

Development, support and operation of computer responsibility applications of the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs.
